Formed in Houston, Texas, Lovelast is the work of singer and multi-instrumentalist Chase Jenkins, whose songwriting and production style range from cinematic and soaring to minimalist and intimate.
Now based in San Francisco, California, Lovelast released the debut full-length album “Home” in the summer of 2016, which embraces a more keys-driven sound while still remaining rooted in Jenkins' introspective lyrics and evocative melodies.
Featuring musical contributions from former RSB bandmate Matt Kidd (Slow Meadow, Aural Method) and Latifah Phillips (Moda Spira, The Autumn Film), the album explores the search for the concept of home—whether in the form of a physical location, a feeling experienced with someone you love, or a state of mind—and what it means to belong.
Since the release of "Home", Jenkins has steadily moved in a direction decidedly more focused on keys and programming, as evidenced by the latest singles "Halfway to You" and "Awake", which is the third track on the upcoming EP set to be released this September.
